As we finish 2024 I can say it’s definitely been a year of ups and downs but there have been many constants and they are the support from my coach Henry, support from my family and the support from Body Rocket. I am lucky to have been part of the journey with Eric and the guys at Body Rocket and this year testing with them has been really interesting in terms of getting my own Cda data but also helping them raise awareness and launch their successful crowdfunding program.

My last testing with Body rocket for 2024 was a trip to Catesby tunnel to test my bike complete with it’s own development system known as BR Lance Childs (One of just 2 full systems on personal TT bikes in the the world!) as well as helping some pro tour team riders and other potential sponsors or other interested parties see the system in action. I was even given the praise of being one of Body Rocket’s best testers and I am incredibly proud to be part of the journey and to work with the guys is often hard work doing run after run at or close to threshold but the data and the time I have had to work on my own TT position and test equipment, clothing, helmets etc has been hugely beneficial.

At Catesby I was lucky enough to chat to the UK Country Manager for Kalas, Alex was keen to hear about the system and it was handy to be stood chatting to him in my Team TAAP Kalas’ Vorteq skinsuit which I have really enjoyed racing in this year and have found in my own personal testing performs well against other skinsuits I’ve tested. Looking forward to new items in the pipeline from Kalas for 2025 and hopefully I can get some items to test together with Body Rocket next year, definitely intrigued about the Kalas sock and overshoe combo and along with another of our team sponsors I hope to test the new Ekoi TT helmet.

Training for 2025 is going well, I’m pretty much fully fit, healed and mended and have been building up the hours. I’ve got a couple of trips planned in early 2025 to get some good warm weather miles in the bank this winter. Thanks to Teammate Harvey for inviting me to join him in Lanzarote in January and the TAAP Kalas Team camp in Calpe is looking to be late February early March both will really help me prepare for the race season ahead in 2025. So watch this space for updates on how the trips go.

Thanks again to everyone helping me on the journey, Henry my coach, Ryan and TAAP Kalas Racing, Body Rocket for letting me loose with their equipment, Kalas for our great team kit, Ekoi for our helmets and glasses, Tony Henderson my sports masseur for keeping me going and ironing out tight muscles, The British Continental for a nice write up about us and anyone else who has helped me through 2024, Happy Christmas and here’s hoping for a great, happy, healthy and successful 2025!
